Analytic Accountant is dedicated by to helping deliver business information in an accurate and timely manner to assist in making informed business decisions across all business levels from sole traders to big groups. We believe BI should be accessible for businesses of all shapes and sizes and has a significant contribution to success.

The aim is to do this through education via our blog, Youtube, standardised spreadsheet reports offered for digital purchase (customisations can be requested) and in the future with bespoke consultation and development work. Material is focused around the Microsoft tools Excel and Power Bi but may be expanded in the future.

About Me:

I am a finance professional who has worked in industry for the past 8 years, I am currently employed full time as a Group Financial Controller at a large privately owned UK firm. My time working in these roles has really highlighted the need for accurate and timely numbers in an easy consume format. The problem with most financial reporting and non-financial numerical KPIs is, that in my experience, these are not always easily accessible to all levels of an organisation and are often difficult to understand, this is something I am passionate about changing.

My second passion is really technology! I have a huge belief that if used in the correct way the software, technology and real time data that is available to us in the modern day can be transformative to us in both our personal and business lives. I am a huge fan of a well designed functional spreadsheet and over the last 18 months have been on a real journey with Power Bi learning and unlocking to the secrets of the DAX calculation engine. Through this organisation I hope to pass on my knowledge and experience to make a real difference to others.
